Client goal
The problem to solve
Take a partially electrified Mini and turn it into a functioning EV where the required systems booted, communicated and operated correctly.
Project case study
EV rectification / electrical commissioning
A partially electrified classic Mini arrived with the main EV hardware already installed but only a basic 12V system. The work focused on rewiring, CAN bus debugging, message deciphering and commissioning the vehicle until charging, motor operation and EV boot-up worked correctly.

Client goal
Take a partially electrified Mini and turn it into a functioning EV where the required systems booted, communicated and operated correctly.
The brief
Rework the 12V electrical system, debug CAN communication, decipher required messages and commission the vehicle so it could charge from AC, boot up correctly and spin the motor as expected.

Practical outcome
The Mini reached a functional EV stage. It charged from AC, the motor operated, and the required EV systems booted and behaved as intended. The project demonstrated the value of proper 12V wiring and CAN debugging in EV conversion rectification work.
For similar clients
Many unfinished EV conversions do not fail because the main parts are wrong; they fail because the 12V wiring, communications and control logic are incomplete. This project shows how VASS can help rescue partially completed builds and get them functioning properly.
