Privacy Notice
Last updated: 17 September 2026
This notice explains how we use personal information when you visit our website or contact us about a project.
Who is responsible for your information?
VASS Technology is a trading name of AMPERETECH LIMITED, the controller of your personal information. We are a limited company registered in England and Wales, number 15840117.
For privacy questions, requests or complaints, email Dmitrijs@vasstechnology.com.
Information we receive
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address and a description of your project or question. You can also provide a telephone number, vehicle or project details, location or country, the type of client you are, support required and a timeframe. We receive the service or project context carried into the form and the page from which you send it. Please include only information relevant to your enquiry; we do not need identity documents, payment details or sensitive personal information.
When you email us, we receive your email address, message, attachments you choose to send and related correspondence. We may create project assessments, quotations and records of our conversations. Giving us enquiry details is voluntary, but without a way to contact you and an explanation of your request we may be unable to help.
Our hosting and form providers process technical information needed to deliver and protect their services, including IP addresses, request times, browser information and security logs. Hostinger hosts this website and our email. Web3Forms receives your submitted form and technical request information to deliver the enquiry and check for spam.
Why we use information and our lawful bases
- Your own potential or existing contract: responding to your request, assessing a project, preparing a quotation and communicating about agreed work may be necessary to take steps you request before a contract, or to perform our contract with you.
- Business enquiries and correspondence: where you act for a workshop or another organisation, we rely on our legitimate interests in answering relevant enquiries, assessing opportunities and managing business relationships. These interests also support keeping proportionate enquiry records and handling disputes.
- Security and reliability: our legitimate interests in preventing abuse, identifying faults and maintaining a secure, functioning website and communications service.
- Required records: legal obligations where accounting, tax or other applicable law requires us to keep or disclose particular information.
- Optional website analytics: your consent. You can reject or withdraw it through Cookie / privacy preferences in the footer of every page. We do not rely on the statistical-purpose storage exception for Google Analytics.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. We do not sell enquiry or customer personal information.
Who receives information?
Authorised people at AMPERETECH LIMITED handle enquiries. Hostinger provides website hosting and Hostinger Mail. Web3Forms, operated by Web3Creative, processes form delivery and spam prevention; its infrastructure providers include AWS, Cloudflare and Hetzner. Its published documentation also describes sharing submitter IP and email addresses with CleanTalk or Akismet for spam checks. See Web3Forms’ privacy information.
Sanity supplies our content-management service when configured. Public content is fetched by our server; enquiry form details are not sent to Sanity by this website. Requests for an image served directly from Sanity’s CDN can disclose technical request information to that provider.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website use and improve it. Google receives broad page categories, page views, enquiry starts and successful-submission events, together with cookie identifiers and technical information such as browser, device and session information. Network requests also expose your IP address to Google. This is not anonymous aggregate-only measurement.
Our analytics integration excludes names, email addresses, phone numbers, vehicle descriptions, enquiry text, raw query strings and page fragments. It does not supply a User-ID or user-provided data. Advertising consent is always denied; we do not use this integration for remarketing, enhanced conversions or advertising personalisation. See our Cookies page for choices and storage durations.
Where needed, relevant records may be shared with professional advisers to obtain advice or deal with a claim, or with public authorities when required by law. External websites you choose to visit have their own privacy arrangements.
Processing outside the UK
Our service providers can process information outside the UK. Web3Creative operates from India and uses international infrastructure. Its published Data Processing Agreement incorporates standard contractual clauses and the UK Addendum where applicable. Hostinger’s Data Processing Addendum describes its processor and transfer arrangements. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your information or to request a copy.
Google and its service providers can process analytics information outside the UK, including in the United States. Its published terms identify Google LLC, Google Ireland Limited or the Google affiliate that contracts for the service. Google’s data-processing terms describe transfer safeguards, including contractual provisions for UK data where applicable; the precise contracting entity and safeguards depend on the account arrangements. Contact us for details of the safeguards applying to your information or to request a copy.
How long information is kept
For enquiry correspondence, the relevant factors are whether discussions remain active, whether a quotation is still open, whether you become a customer, and whether information is needed to resolve a complaint or dispute. Project records may need to remain available for the agreed work, subsequent technical support, warranty issues and applicable legal claims. Accounting records follow the relevant statutory record-keeping requirements.
We have not yet adopted fixed company retention periods for all these categories. Please contact us about a particular record or to request deletion; we will explain any reason it must be retained. Provider copies have separate lifecycles: Web3Forms currently states a maximum of three years for submissions, subject to earlier deletion or a shorter applicable period. This is a provider limit, not a requirement to keep every enquiry for three years. Email copies and backups are separate from Web3Forms.
Your analytics choice is valid for 180 days. Analytics cookies last up to 180 days from creation or their most recent update; Google may refresh session-cookie expiry while consent remains valid. Your browser may shorten these durations. Withdrawing consent stops future collection and clears accessible first-party Google storage; it does not automatically erase data already received by Google. Google account retention is separate from cookie expiry. Contact us for the current retention setting or to request deletion.
Your right to object
You can object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. We must stop unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or need the information for legal claims. Contact us using the details above.
Your other rights
You can request access to your personal information and correction of inaccurate information. Depending on the circumstances, you can request deletion or restriction. Portability applies to information you provided where automated processing is based on consent or a contract. These rights are subject to conditions and do not always require deletion of records we must keep.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. We normally respond to rights requests within one month, subject to lawful extensions or pauses, and may need proportionate information to verify your identity. Requests are normally free.
Privacy complaints
Email us with your concern so we can investigate. We will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate it and communicate the outcome without undue delay. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Automated decisions and updates
We do not use automated decision-making to accept or reject projects. Spam filtering helps protect enquiry delivery; if a form is blocked, you can email us directly. This specialist engineering website is intended for people enquiring about vehicle projects and business services.
We will update this notice when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest version.
