Cookies and storage
Last updated: 17 September 2026
Cookies and local storage can keep information in your browser. This page explains what our website uses and your choices.
Your current choices
Google Analytics 4 only loads after you choose Accept analytics. Accept analytics and Reject analytics are equally available. Before you choose, and after rejection, no Google analytics or advertising tracking is started, including cookieless Google measurement pings.
Use the Cookie / privacy preferences controls in the footer to change your choice at any time. Choosing Reject analytics after accepting withdraws consent, clears accessible first-party Google storage and reloads this page to unload the collector. A valid choice is remembered on later visits and changes are applied to other open tabs.
Storage used by this implementation
| Name / provider | Purpose and basis | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| vass-privacy-v1 VASS, first-party local storage | Remembers an analytics choice, its date and notice version when analytics is available. Necessary preference record; not used to track visits. | Choice expires after 180 days. Local storage does not expire automatically; an expired record is ignored until replaced or cleared. |
| _ga, _ga_[measurement ID] Google Analytics, first-party cookies | Optional visitor/session measurement, only with consent. | Up to 180 days from creation or the most recent update; Google may refresh session-cookie expiry while consent remains valid. Your consent choice expires 180 days after you make it. |
Form values and menu state are held in page memory; the application does not save enquiry drafts in cookies, local storage or session storage. The form uses a hidden anti-spam field and makes a request to Web3Forms only when you submit. Server and network logging is separate from browser storage.
Earlier Google storage
An earlier version loaded Google Analytics and advertising services. It could set first-party _ga and _ga_[measurement ID] cookies (observed at approximately 400 days), _gcl_au (approximately 90 days), _gcl_ls local storage, and a third-party DoubleClick test_cookie (approximately 15 minutes). These were analytics or advertising technologies requiring consent; they are not necessary for an enquiry.
This release clears accessible first-party Google analytics and advertising cookies and _gcl_ls storage when analytics is off or rejected. Our website cannot delete cookies belonging to another domain, or information already received by a provider. Use your browser’s site-data controls to remove other historic cookies. Google’s cookie information explains its technologies.
Analytics, if you choose it
Our optional analytics measures broad page categories, page visits, enquiry starts and successful submissions to help improve the website. Google also receives cookie identifiers, session and technical information. Enquiry fields, raw query strings and page fragments are excluded. It is consent-based; we do not rely on the UK statistical-purpose exception for this Google implementation. Rejecting analytics does not prevent navigation or form submission.
Accepting analytics permits analytics storage only. Advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation remain denied. This integration does not offer remarketing or enhanced conversions; advertising destinations are blocked by the website. Google’s account-level data retention is separate from these cookie durations. See our Privacy Notice for Google recipients, international processing and your rights.
Choices apply to this browser. If you clear storage or change browser, you may need to choose again. If your browser blocks storage, analytics stays off until you accept on that page and the preference cannot be remembered. With JavaScript disabled, optional analytics does not run.

Links to Instagram and other websites do not embed their feeds or load their tracking code here. Their own policies apply when you visit them. Security technologies introduced by our hosting or form providers must be assessed separately if their configuration changes.
